The Design Exchange – Surf Coast Edition, Torquay, Victoria

In a celebration of local artistry and independent design, Tal Lemmens was invited to participate in the inaugural Design Exchange Surf Coast event, held over two vibrant days in Torquay, Victoria.

The Design Exchange is one of Australia’s leading curated artisan markets, known for spotlighting boutique makers, creatives, and small businesses from across the country. The Surf Coast edition brought together a diverse collection of handmade crafts, ethical art, sustainable products, food vendors, and live musicians, offering a rich community atmosphere and creative exchange.

Tal showcased a curated selection of his fine art seascape photography, including a preview of his award-winning and limited edition prints. The event provided collectors and visitors the rare opportunity to experience his large-scale artworks in person — each piece reflecting the sculptural power and nuance of the ocean.

“It was a privilege to be involved in such a beautifully curated event,” said Tal. “Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported my work, or took a piece home with them. Events like this remind me of the value of connection — through art and shared creative spaces.”

Tal extends a heartfelt thanks to Lyndelle and her team, along with the crew behind the Nightjar Festival, for orchestrating such an inspiring event that championed independent makers. He also sends his warm wishes to new and returning collectors:

“I look forward to sharing more exciting updates and exhibitions throughout 2024. Thank you for your continued support.”
